• [Adventures 2012]: England Tomorrow

  T’was the night before England and all through the house,
  Kristi was scurrying… way more than for a mouse. 

  In the midst of her packing, she remembered the fact…
  that Jesus was not only with her, but helping her pack. 

  Through the piles of clothes, camera gear, food and loose ends,
  she took a deep  breath to set her sight on her Best Friend. 

  Jesus had done it, planned it from the start…
  England belonged to Him, like her life… every part. 

  With adventures are opportunity for things that are new…
  like raincoats and shoes for England’s rain and dew. 

  

  

  Now, she must finish, get ready to go… 
  like all journeys with the King, there is more involved than we know. 

  So her heart set to worship, trust and obey, 
  the Duchess stepped out with Him, her only Stay. 

  One more night in her very own bed… 
  before the adventures began tomorrow, Jesus led. 

  So long and farewell my American home, 
  England is calling at least for a short roam. 

  Yes, occasionally, I am so sleepy and random that poetry actually spouts out of some buried corner of my brain. hehe. So forgive the slightly cheesy attempt at being cute. Tomorrow I fly out for England and will be there for a week. So many details and it really won’t hit me till I am there and we are driving past a Castle or something… “I am in ENGLAND!?” This is such a gift from Jesus. Completely. I am going to soak in every moment of adventures and capture as much as possible while still basking and absorbing the culture, sights and sounds of Europe that is England.
