Don't you just love autumn?
There is something simply romantic about the delightful feel of a cool fall breeze coming in your window at night, or the crunchy crispness of ripe apples, or the incredible changing colors of the leaves against a brilliant blue sky... *sigh* Yes, I love fall. Today was a perfect first-day-of-fall. I was thinking all morning about all the things I look forward to during the fall season and I decided that it was definitely time for a "list" post. *grin*
Today was such a "homey" day. Baking, cooking, cleaning, writing letters, taking pictures, mailing packages, editing pictures, uploading pictures and just over all thinking about all the delightfulness of fall to look forward to.

Hi! I've been 'lurking' ever since seeing your blog on the Xanga homepage--I've kept reading because you are an interesting and likeminded person. You don't meet many old fashioned girls anymore! Fall is one of my favorite seasons too--I love the release from the long summer months, the crisp tang to the air, and pretty much everything you listed! I just can't wait for it to feel like fall down here in the south... Blessings!

This is usually one of my least favorite seasons, but this year I am enjoying every moment of autumn! It is so beautiful, and very refreshing to me right now. Your pictures are gorgeous!

I love Fall too!!! That and Christmas are my FAVORITE times of the year. Enjoyed all those wonderful pictures, you are getting better and better...yay! And, I adore all those things that you listed....all except...my parent's birthdays are not in September or October! hehe. Love you!
Autumn is also my favorite season...it contains all the colors that look the best in my 'waer'...and all the colors that reflect what is on the inside....the green of new life....the red of fire -the Spirit that burns within me...the orange of a 'desert sunset' that sometime leaves me dry and rather lonely...the brown of the earth which reminds me of our beginnings....the yellow of the 'rising sun' that brings a new day...thank you for your pictures and the gentle reminder that this wonderful season is beckoning at the door...

LOL, you need to come take some pictures of some guns. Much better subjects, it seems that you look at a picture of a fine firearms and it all of a sudden has character, and seems to have life. And im sure a photographer with such talent as yourself could capture such radiance.

I could probably read this post everyday and still sigh a happy, satisfied, yet homesick sigh after every time I read it. Memories of corn mazes, wagon rides, running through a day's worth of raked leaves, cool mornings, warm afternoons, beautiful night skies, fresh smells, breath-taking colors, the taste of fresh cider...all of them so dear to my heart. Thank you for awakening them in me, so that I may carry them with me during this season!
