  • WALK FOR LIFE 2005

Saturday October 8, 2005           Forrest Park – Noblesville IN

Yesterday was “Walk for Life!” I have been earning support for the past month, many people blessed me, the lives of many women and babies and the Kingdom with their generous donations. My earnings totaled to $650.00!  Elli Jones, Mom and I were going to walk together with Christy Ripperger (the director of the East Side CPC Center, where I volunteer) and several others from the East Side. We did not anticipate the very chilly weather, so it was quite cold, and we were wishing we had worn our winder coats instead of sweatshirts! THe walk was only 2 miles… so it did not take very long. Elli and I carried the East side banner, (wishing we had worn gloves )! But all in all it was a good time…!

Elli and I carrying our “Banner” as we cross the “finish line”

Volunteers at the walk were handing out these adoreable water bottles! The “Walk for Life” Mascot this year was the little “Life is Good” figure… very cute!

On Friday during my shift, one of the counselors gave me the following to read… I was challenged and I thought you might be too!

    WHO IS MISSING?

Would you consider abortion in the following situations?

    1. There is a preacher and his wife who are very poor. They already have 14 kids. Now she finds out she is pregnant with her 15th. They are living in tremendous poverty. Considering their poverty and the excessive world population, would you consider recommending that she have an abortion?

    2. The father is ill with syphilis, the mother has tuberculosis. They have had four children. The first child is blind, the second died at an young age, the third is deaf and the fourth has TB. The mother is pregnant again. Given the extreme situation, would you consider reccomending abortion?

    3. A White man raped a 13 eyar old black girl and she got pregnant. If you were her parents, would you recommend that she have an abortion?

    4. A Teenage girl is pregnant and unmarried. Her Fiance’ is not the father of the baby and he is very upset! Would you consider recommending an abortion?

IF you have considered answering “yes” to any of these situations:

In the first case,  you have just recommended killing John Wesley, one of the great evangelistis of the 19th century.

In the second case, you have killed Beethoven, one of the world’s greatest music composers.

In the third case, you have killed Ethel Waters, the great black gospel singer.

If you said yes to the fourth case you have recommended the murder of Jesus Christ!

    Something to think about…

“By standing firm you will gain life”

    Love, Kristi

  • Good pictures! I know this is an older post but I hadn’t seen it. And I go to church with Christy Ripperger! Isn’t she the sweetest lady? Anyway, so glad to hear that it was a success! May God be glorified through it and may the centers minister through the donations! Hope you’re doing well!
